Public memory is short. We have this tendency to forget things. Like we keep on forgetting about various scams involving crores of money and resources of our country. Is it possible for us in that scenario to remember Anna Hazare for long? Seems difficult.

add your argumensts in favor or against the issue

arguments against the issue

People have shown initial enthusiasm but how long that would be sustained. What next? Did anyone ask that? If we keep on forgetting corruption and accept it as a part of our lives, why we will remember Anna Hazare? First corruption should hit us then the person who stood up against that would.

Anna Hazare has done a unique thing in 5 days, he has inspired the youth of the country to come forward and think for the nation. People got to act in their own way to support the movement. This will always be there in the memory.

To expect a bunch of armchair activists to continue on a struggle that demands introspection first is wishful thinking! Neither Anna Hazare nor the Indian public are sincere about fighting corruption. And its all about hogging the limelight! Thank God the farce at Jantar Mantar forced on us by the breaking news media has ended.

Today corruption is one of the biggest problem in India.Youths of India are becoming aware of it , and they want a change of the current situation. Anna will be remember as a pioneer of fighting against corruption.May be he will not in media's main attraction but people, who will fight against corruption, l surely get inspiration from him.

public memory is short lived.. it is more dependent on Media.. Once media is done with all masala people are first ones to forget!

looks like its the new fascination - and its a media and civil society driven initiative, both have really short attention spans. I dont see this being sustained in the long haul. of course, anna hazare could bcome another celebrity. that doesnt mean anti-corruption will remain a national issue .

I support Anna Hazare wholeheartedly and hope he succeeds! I am not holding my breath though. All this show about 3G investigations and arrests are for show! Throw a bunch of low level guys in the slammer and declare victory! Spectrum allocations would not have been possible without greasing palms at the highest level! They are not about to be brought forward anytime soon. It's like a choice between which group do you like - Group #1 of Thieves and Group#2 of thieves waiting in the wings! Sad but True! you cannot cure cancer by scraping a wound and applying band aid!

Nothing lasts long.. Once a new topic gains the attention, Anna Hazare would definitely take a back seat. Its all a one-day wonder.

'You' and 'I' make 'we'. I believe he has made a difference. You believe he has made a difference. So do many. Hence 'we' are inspired and won't forget for long time that after India won the world cup, there was this hero who thought for the country.
