It's all about doing your slice of responsibility towards this planet; celebrating Earth Day, sending 'Happy Earth Day' text to friends, updating your Facebook or Twitter profile won't be of any help. We have to remember our duty and practice it everyday.

Marking a day as Earth Day would force us to think about the planet, otherwise people will forget simply.

In this time most of the peoples are immersed in cinemas, politics, sports and they often forget that our mother planet earth is in great danger. Ozone layer has been damaged, water is polluted, food price is touching sky and all of us are running in a rat race. So, if in google or through sms they get a reminder they at least could think for once.

Absolutely, i think Every Day is Earth Day - that should be the name of the campaign - why only April 22? So Google and Yahoo! should display the logo throughout the year...

By labeling a day as "Earth Day" can't push people into loving the planet all of a sudden. Few things can't be forced on others, and this is one of them. Loving the planet for one day can be kept aside. Its almost a one-day wonder, and once the day is over, love's gone. We send innumerable forwarded messages everyday, and this day turns out to be another nice occasion to forward few specially written messages with "Happy Earth day" in the end. So, its simply useless celebrating a day which holds no real importance what-so-ever.
