Sourav Ganguly KKR

From the very first year of IPL, KKR kept loosing all the matches, but this year the scenario is different. His agressive nature has, time and again, put him through unnecessary controversies. This affected him as an individual as well as a team performer.

Was Ganguly not fit to play this form of cricket? What was the reason that he did not get picked by any other team? Is there any reason other than cricket? Why does he always get into trouble with the management?

Anyways, KKR is now doing good.. Can we say that Sourav Ganguly exit did the magic?

Averages just 27.07 in three years of IPL, and isnt it that a opener in T20 is supposed to make more runs in first 6 overs rather than playing 20 overs and making 60 runs.

His experience could not take KKR to the desired heights.

Sourav Ganguly is a cricketing hero form bengal and it was harsh on him not to get picked.

posted by Pritha Bose | suggest edit

He was the highest run scorer for KKR in the last season.

Could have helped the youngsters with his experience.

is the dream over for KKR? seems so after todays outta sync performance... Dada or No Dada...this is a non-performing team.

Agreed... Even SRK should give his sports enthusiasm some rest, and give the team to someone who can at least decide fairly regarding the players in the team!!!

Sourav is out bcoz of some non-cricketing reasons. No cricketing coach wants to take him...why?

in a game of t20 anything is possible as in a shorter format of cricket the diff between 2 teams radically decreases!!! Anyways, I believe KKR has it in them this season to beat the best!!! But this is t20!!

yes its an unpredictable game...i agree...but it takes a lot of things to win matches... like determination, fitness, and most importantly a good piece of cricketing

Something went wrong but there is no point in vilifying the team for one loss! No team has been unbeaten in the IPL that doesn't mean they are not good enough!! If the team makes the semis then my point stands!

would be happy to be proven wrong...but considering KKR's performances in the last three IPLs my point stands stronger at the moment

this year's IPL has proved one thing till now, that the only thing consistent in the teams this season is inconsistency! Nobody has absolutely dominated it and the margins are finer than ever!!

Its just one loss! The team is looking good and I think KKR will make the pay-offs this season! The team looks much more at ease with itself with Sourav on-board! There is no white elephant now in the dressing room! Go KKR!

until yesterday even I thot taking Ganguly out was a blessing in disguise for KKR... but the way they struggled in the last match against kochi actually had put me to think twice... is it Ganguly we needed to replace or SRK?

Nahi, bat asal me yah hai ki dada ke waqt team kheladi unform the bt gambhir ko form me moujud kheladi mele hai. Dusri bat yes hai ki abhi tin hi match jit ne se bahut kamal nahi kar diya. Abhi mushkil hai rah panghat ki. Aj kkr har rahi hai akhir kyu?

The magic has already begun! If records are to be seen, no wonder the new KKR team is playing well. At least, now, for a change we can hope that KKR will win. Sourav Ganguly and his strategies will have to take a back seat.. Its time the new minds and the new talents get together!

"but result?? its almost same" ... dude they reached last four this year ... and more than anything else they looked like a team that could win ...

@Anirudh Lohia :yes they looked like bunch of foolish slaves trying to make their owner happy instead of playing for any pride or love for the game. And that why they lost .......whatever u say .....Gambhir is no doubt a good player but he is not near to a good captain.

yes definitely ... Pune also one time looked invincible ... but result disasterous ... hyped team nothing else .. the tragedy is that after so much hype ... the team could not break the no of wins/lose from the last IPL and its difficult for few to understand that... sad ... again saying ... New Team, New Captain,New Coach, New mission ... lots of think tanks .......... but result ????? A big golla .... lol

they went to the semifinal.,,to please the owner?ths is what u wnat to say??well i feel,,,why should they do that??then evry team is doing that,,well i feel evry owner must have some expectations for his/her team,,and team keeps that in mind also, they deliver for their fans and also for their owner..this is what i feel abhisek

captaincy does make a lot of difference .. but thats not the only thing ... if what you say is right then KKR shud have done well in previous tournaments ...
