Omar Abdullah has also thrown his hat in the debate, talking about Afzal Guru. While this debate gets increasingly politicised, the larger question is 'Should Capital Punishment be banned in India?' Does it violate human rights? Express your views! The best points will be featured in Kindle's next cover! And ofcourse keep reading Kindle! http://kindlemag.in/

Social values change over time. Someone who is guilty of capital punishment today may be treated as a revolutionary icon tomorrow. Think about political prisoners.

If its India we talk about then think of our population...mostly starving, poor, living on a paltry sum . Considering our crime rate in cities are ever growing or metamorphing into different arenas we need capital punishment . Most of the time Capital punishment are substituted by life imprisonment . Just imagine amount of expenses the govt. has to incur for almost 14 yrs of that criminal ! wont it be better to spend on the poor but innocent people !

Some crimes show the pysche of the criminal. It is important to set an example for the society by implementing Capital Punishment. I would go ahead and talk about the mode of death as well. Hanging at times can be too simple.

terrorism and violence can sorted by peace. So we should be solution oriented. Since noone is criminal from born. Hydrabad violence is result of hanging of afzalguru. What we've achieved by this. We should find out appropriate solution.
