Is the world free of terrorism after Laden's death?

Osama Bin Laden was shot to death today morning by the US forces in a firefight in Pakistan. Within minutes it created headlines all over the world. Social Networking sites like Facebook and Twitter were flooded with reactions and comments of billions of people. Finally after 10 years the mastermind behind the world’s most talked about terrorist attack has been captured and killed.

"Justice has been done," President Barack Obama quoted. But the biggest question is, justice to what has been done? Is it to the 9/11 attack that took thousands of lives away? Is it the end of an era in terrorism that shook the world? Can we now say the world is free of terrorism and militant activities? Do we really have a reason strong enough to celebrate?

Osama Bin Laden\'s death marks the end to the battle against the Taliban in Afghanistan. Soon the whole concept of Talibanism would be banished.

The Al Qaeda leader, who was shot in head to death, brings a great relief to the world. It would not be easier for the American President to wind up the decade long war with Talibans.

It\'s another step closer towards world peace and harmony. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the killing \"resounding triumph for justice, freedom and the values shared by all democratic nations\".

According to WikiLeaks: Al Qaeda vowed \'Nuclear Hellstorm\' if Bin Laden killed or captured

Osama\'s death is no big deal. One fellow tweeple reacted by saying, \"utility just expired hence the elimination\". Many also fear there are several others to take his place and hence violence will continue

Laden was found, captured and finally killed in Pakistan. This may hint towards a grave concern that the neighboring country of India is a base for several extremist organizations.

I f it were so, Pakistan would be at peace, India would be at lower level of alert, and we would not be checking borders for infiltrators!

In fact, Terrorism will increase! Osama's death has only caused a bigger exodus of Muslim youth to Jihadist Activities! The Al- Qaeda maybe losing ground but other fundamentalist organisations are gaining from it! The best example being Lashkar-e-Toiba! His death has only infuriated the fundamentals.

This is a very naive question. He was just one person. The ideology continues

No one should dreaming of end of terrorism with the death of OSAMA BIN LADEN..With the history of modern civilization if we walk behind we will have many exapmples, hundreds of BIN LADEN been extincted, but again another had been born. Terror is a basic instinct of human being, darwin's theory proved it also. We should never forget the latent entity of TERROR in every human being. But we are not all can be OSAMA, due to lack of oppertunity, and mostly lack of bravery. And we should thanksful to GOD we are all not be so dare like OSAMA.The end of terrorism could be in real, If and only if ever human race be needless(that never could be in practical). So no hope of terrorless world ever be in practical. Just keep on fighting with the TERROR that is residing in every one of us.

OBAMA WAS THREATENED BEFORE TAKING OATH THAT OATH TAKING CEREMONY WILL BE BOMBARDED, CIA TOLD HIM. THE NEWLY ELECTED PRESIDENT WITH SLOGAN OF,"CHANGE" CHANGED THE WAR ON TERRORISM TO PROMOTION OF TERRORISM UNDER A SELF SOUGHT PHILOSOPHY TO MEET THE REASONS OF TERRORISM IN PLACE OF DEFEATING TERRORISTS. AFTER ANALYZING THIS SO CALLED PHILOSOPHY, ONE CAN'T STOP TO CONCLUDE THAT THE FIRST BLACK PRESIDENT OF AMERICA PROVED A PERSON UNDER FEAR OF TERRORISTS AND ACCEPT TERRORISM AS A STRUGGLE FOR CERTAIN GEOGRAPHICAL CHANGES HIS OPPONENT IN ELECTIONS ALSO JOINED HIM AS FOREIGN MINISTER AND BOTH OF THEM STARTED DIALOGUES WITH TERRORISTS, WHICH IS LOGICALLY THE VICTORY OF TERRORISTS AND TERRORISM TURNED TO BE THE BEST RESULTING LINE OF ACTION AS COMPARED TO THE DEMOCRATIC AND PEACEFUL STRUGGLE WITHIN THE LIMITS OF LAW. ALL THE LEGAL SYSTEMS CAN BE PUT IN THREE BASIC CATEGORIES : 1- DETERRENT 2- PUNITIVE 3- REFORMATIVE. BUT THE PHILOSOPHY OF OBAMA AND HELLERY CAN'T BE PUT IN ANY ONE OUT OF THE THREE KNOWN CATEGORIES. THEIR PHILOSOPHY DOES NOT BASE UPON APPLICATION OF WISDOM BUT ENGINEERED UNDER FEAR OF DEATH. WHERE AS STATE OF FEAR DISABLES THE BRAIN. THE PHILOSOPHY BEING UTTERED BY BOTH OF THEM IS ACTUALLY BASED ON EXCUSES AND THAT'S WHY PROMOTING TERRORISM RATHER THAN TO MAKE THEM SURRENDER. no, certainly not, in my view it has boosted the activities. Bin laden (The CEO) might have been killed but the board of directors of AL QAEDA are still alive, and within a month or so might just get the news of the new CEO.

horrifying fact is lakhs of madrasas(terrorist training centers) are operating in India. Only SIMI, Al Queda and few terrorist organization is banned in India. What about real terrorist organizations like IRF, Deoband, Jamaat E Islam, Jamaat E Islami hind, Muslim League, Darul Islam, Dindar Anjuman, etc. which may prove to be dangerous in India and world specially after death of the chieftain...

I don't think madrasas are terrorist training centers as you suggested. they are just a parallel form education system working towards educating people... you may follow this link to find more details... http://www.idfresearch.org/ipnservices/pdfs/madarsas.pdf

Anamus true but another fact is Military camps are also not to shelter terrorists, and evidences are - Aftermath-11-September-2001 - Police in a predawn raid busted a secret arms training centre for madrasa students and arrested two suspected militants in a remote hilly village in Hathazari in Chittagong. Intelligence sources said at least 24 madrasa students in each batch trained in arms before they fanned out across the country to carry out subversive activities. read more how a Pakistani army destroyed a madarsa http://www.indianexpress.com/news/over-80-killed-as-pak-gunships-hit-madrasa-n/15736/ and many more

we have been waging a war against terror since long... but that has only given birth to more extremists and terror attacks...

another aspect of a doing, as every move may have, and enhances need to be cautious : Pakistani military leadership was getting paid hundreds of millions of dollars per year to hunt bin Laden down, it made little sense to give him up quickly. As early as October 2001, a month after 9/11, wags in Islamabad coined the phrase "al-Faida" for this which means the profit
