Technical people in India have the aspirations, culture and experiences as technical people abroad. Managing them is not any different than managing technical people  anywhere else! You should have the same culture and workplace policies as you do elsewhere.

Technical people in India are working and living in India with pressures that are different from those elsewhere. Your culture, policies and the way you treat them need to be customized for Indian conditions.

Professionally both the teams should be treated similarly. But other than work there are many aspects where localization is essential even in a corporate environment such as holidays and all, but when you are talking about work, there should not be any discrimination.
