Entrepreneurs are known for coming up with brilliant business ideas.  This is the reason why they are the best people to start a business.  They don’t usually get bogged down by feasibility studies or market research, formal business plans and explicit marketing strategies. They know what they want, they make sure that they get what they want, and they make things happen fast because they are not afraid to make mistakes.  They believe that they can always figure things out and find a quick solution to any kind of problem.  In short, they are confident about their abilities.

But while these entrepreneurs are visionaries and pioneers, they are not good at turning their bright ideas into a concrete plan of action.  For this reason, they want to be always on top of everything so that they will not lose control of any situation.  They believe that they are the only ones who can produce the exact result they want.  It is hard for them to trust that somebody else can do their job.  Their mantra is, “If you want something done right, do it yourself.”

I am

no for long term, yes for short term .... Managers are many and each manager requires certain skills too ... from general manager to facility manager ... Entrepreneurs generally can handle anything but may not be the best for following reasons 1) They don't collect enough data or spend time to understand the problem, they go by gut feel to speed up things 2) Sometimes there is skill gap example when it comes to HR management, we entrepreneurs feel we know everything :) 3) They don't follow up, anything that is not followed up fails 4) Often people are scared of the top boss because he/she can just fire you if you go wrong .. thus they don't dare to say "You are wrong in front of you" 5) Often they are into 2 many things and thus specific to a work, they they don't have interest in one field......
