The Allies in World War II saved hundreds of thousands of Jews from death. The U.S. persevered during the Cold War to allow people on the East to come reunite with  people on the East. After all this, it is puzzling how and why the U.S. seems to be standing idly by as Israel has constructed its own Wall in Palestine to separate and exclude people based on race, religion and, perhaps even more troubling, genetics.
